Seasonal hair loss is something natural that happens to most of us. It is annoying and it can get quite scary sometimes! Since Aromatherapy is all about prevention, natural treatment and stress-relieve, it comes as the perfect fit for this seasonal inconvenience. To read more about all the physical and mental symptoms which can be relieved with aromatherapy, click here, in this post I will be writing about hair health.

According to doctors, the usual time when hair loss occurs is during July-August and then November-January, during the season changes. And while individual differences exist, mostly among different enthnic groups and types of hair, you know best what is your usual amount of shedded hair. If you notice that your normal amount of hair fall has increased then you might consider reading further.

I do try my own products and methods before I recommend them to my clients, and everything which I couldn’t test personnaly I took the time to research extensively using clinical research papers (not wikipedia πŸ˜‰ ) This week I noticed some disturbing amount of hair shedding, and although it happens every year and I know it is seasonal, it does create internal discomfort. Now that I am working with essential oils, it was the most natural thing to address the situation with these natural helpers first! I discussed this topic with a friend, who is treating the seasonal hair loss successfully with vitamins. I am not against vitamins, I do take them occasionally, but I always prefer to start with the least invasive treatment. Essential oils, contrary to pills, are not synthetic, hence have no side effects. Bottom linetry essential oils first and then add vitamins if you need to. I took the time to write a blog about it and not simply to post the photos online, because THE RESULTS WERE AMAZING! After ONLY 1 TREATMENT I noticed a dramatic improvement of the situation! See for yourself, I have placed the photo separately, as not everyone likes to look at hair photos. The picture represents a BEFORE & AFTER one treatment with essential oils lotion and shampoo and the amount of shedded hair. To see click here.

Treatment duration: The 10 ml lotion can be used for 3 to 4 treatments. Massage the lotion to the scalp for 5 minutes. Put a plastic cap and leave for 30-40 minutes. Wash with the hair loss treatment shampoo with essential oils. You will see the effect from the first or second wash, but continue until your products are finished (3-4 days). To maintain the health of your hair consider the following additional tips.

After treatment: don’t overheat your hair – use iron only when necessary, dry in the medium temperature when possible, not hottest. Brush and put hair in elastic only when it is dry (and not too tight). Use conditioner, leave-in conditioner or mask once a week especially during the season when you experience hair loss. Use a hat or scarf to protect your hair from sun damage or extreme temperature changes.

Some advertisements that I came across included a laser treatment cap for about 3000$ … why don’t we start with the essential oils for a double digit price and then progress if needed πŸ˜‰

Stay healthy & allow your inner beauty to shine through!
